About Us
The French Polynesia Travel Blog came about after 35 trips together to these incredible destinations. My better half, Zelle, had visited French Polynesia four times before I met her. I knew this was her happy place, so when I asked her to marry me, I promised that I would take her to French Polynesia every year. I've kept my promise—oh, and I make her coffee every morning.
We have enjoyed land-based vacations, ranging from small boutique places to expensive resorts. We've cruised through French Polynesia 21 times on six smaller ships. In total, we have visited 16 islands in French Polynesia and 2 in the Cook Islands.
15 years ago, I was a destination expert on TripAdvisor. For 5 years, I shared my experiences in French Polynesia under the name 'Tiki In Tahiti.' 10 years ago, I started helping people on Cruise Critic under the name 'Tahitian Big Kahuna,' and you can still find me there every day answering general questions.
Prior to the Paul Gauguin changing ownership to Ponant, Zelle and I as professional photographers/videographers took marketing pictures and videos for Paul Gauguin Cruises. I still find many of our pictures on Paul Gauguin's social media sites. I'm not aware of any travel consultant that knows French Polynesia and in particular the Paul Gauguin better than myself.

10 years ago I started a Facebook page which grew very rapidly to over 3000 members. 6 years ago I started a second Facebook page focusing on cruising in French Polynesia and the Cook Islands. Here is a link to my Facebook page. 7 years ago at the prompting of the then CEO of Tahiti Tourisme I started taking groups to French Polynesia on small ships (under 450 people). The typical size of my groups is 20 - 24 people. A perfect size ... not to small but not so large that I can't give personal attention to everyone. I also know my private excursion vendors can easily accommodate groups of this size.
I handle all the private excursions put together just for the group. I am now a travel consultant so I'm able to book my own groups. I also take direct bookings for individuals. I make sure you are well prepared for your trip of a lifetime. The majority of the time we go with our groups to French Polynesia and the Cook Islands ... I want to make sure everyone in our group has an incredible Polynesian experience.
When you go with us, you will gain access to various events, receive detailed information about French Polynesia and the Cook Islands, view beautiful pictures/video (95% were taken by us), and go with a group of like-minded individuals who love French Polynesia and the Cook Islands plus free access to my detailed blog post.
